Our holiday homes are easy to reach by public transport. Whichever of the two holiday homes you are staying in, it is best to take the coastal tram to De Panne from Ostend station. Get off at Ostend Northlaan stop. The apartment is 400 meters from this stop. The Loft is 500 m from this stop.
On the Belgian coast you can use the same De Lijn tickets as elsewhere in Flanders. So feel free to bring your Lijnkaart or Buzzypass to the sea. You can also use a day pass to discover the coast carefree. With a day pass you travel alone or together, one or more days unlimited with the Coastal Tram. An adult pays 6 euros per day. A child 4 euros. For trips to the coast, take a combination ticket. This bundles the price of transport plus admission to attractions, such as Plopsaland, Sea Life and the Sand Sculpture Festival. For sale from 2 days in advance in the line shops of Ostend and other coastal municipalities. Be sure to also check the seven-day pass or the ticket for your bicycle.
De Lijn is investing heavily in the coastal tram. For example, they ordered no less than 48 new trams. From 2019 you will be able to drive them for the first time. We keep track of this and other Belgian coastal news that has an impact on your trips to and from Ostend in our blog.
