Interesting paid parking lots in the seaside town

In the streets of Ostend around Het Appartement and De Loft, you will find many paid parking spaces. However, we cannot guarantee that you will easily find a spot. This is because many other rental apartments do not have covered or reserved parking spaces for their tenants.

You can easily pay via the Parkeerbeheer app, Yellowbrick, or the parking meters.

Motorhome parking in Ostend as well

Are you arriving with a motorhome? Ostend offers reserved parking spaces for motorhomes. You can find them on Mercatorlaan and in the car park near Diksmuidestraat.

Always check the local parking regulations before your arrival to be sure, as these can vary by zone.

Please note: staying overnight in a motorhome on public property in Ostend is prohibited. And you will never have a sea view from your bed. Which is a very good reason to book our Apartment with Sea View quickly.

Step-by-step plan park free as a tenant

Step 1. Book your holiday

Book your holiday period. Then you are also immediately guaranteed a free parking space for the entire duration of your stay. For The Apartment, this is a covered garage space. For The Loft, it is a designated outdoor space, behind a barrier, near the rear entrance of the building.

Step 2. Read the parking instructions.

A few days before your holiday, we will send you the exact location of your parking space, along with all other information. This way, you are prepared and drive straight in the right direction. You won't have to search. Your stress-free holiday starts immediately.

Step 3. Drive directly to your parking spot.

Tenants of Het Appartement drive in at the rear of the building on the ground floor. They park their car in a dry, locked area behind the garage door. Tenants of De Loft follow the route in our description to the parking space and the rear entrance of De Loft.

Step 4. Park a second car (if necessary)

Are you arriving with two cars? That is no problem either. Paid parking spaces are available in the streets surrounding the building. You can see the zones and rates on the street map on this page.

Furthermore, in the FAQ on this page, you will find an overview of free alternatives within walking distance.

Step 5. Inform your visitors about free parking

Send your visitors to the Westerkwartier, just behind the horse racing track. Parking on Elisabethlaan, Werkzaamheidstraat, or Dokter Verhaeghestraat is free. The walk to the Zeedijk takes only fifteen minutes. Our personal tip: the Zeedijk in Raversijde, with free parking along the dunes and a beautiful walk to our building.

Make it really easy for yourself: take the train to Ostend

Don't want any parking problems at all? Don't want to pay for a hard-won spot?

Then hop on the train. You can easily reach Ostend from any Belgian train station. During the summer holidays, extra trains run to and from the coast every day. Be sure to check the affordable summer fares for tourists.

Ostend station is a five-minute walk from the beach.

The Coastal Tram takes you very quickly to Het Appartement and De Loft. You will find both accommodations near the horse racing track in Ostend. Get off at the Northlaan stop.

Parking charging station in Ostend: what we recommend to our guests

More and more of our guests are also coming to Ostend in an electric car. This makes sense, as the coast is perfectly within the driving range of a single charge for many Belgians. And even though the number of public charging stations is increasing rapidly, finding a charging station in the Queen of Seaside Resorts requires some puzzling, especially during peak season. At that time, the 261 charging stations are quickly occupied.

No time limit after 20 PM

Our advice: start charging in the evening or at night. As soon as the day trippers have gone home, more charging points become available. And between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM, there is no time limit at the charging points.

Schedule charging in advance

If you plan your charging in advance, you will have a full battery in the morning and no parking hassle during the day. You can find an up-to-date overview of all charging stations in Ostend on Chargemap. Before you leave, check which charging points are closest to our building.
